Diar el Mahçoul (la « cité de la promesse tenue »)

La cité Diar el Mahçoul est située au nord de la commune  d'el Madania sur les hauteurs de la ville. Une partie de la cité domine le quartier du Hamma situé en contrebas. La cité a été construite sur le plateau Susini.

En 1982, le Mémorial  a été érigé au bord de la cité et la domine massivement.

La cité Diar el Mahçoul est la deuxième des trois cités construites après Saada.

Ces cités ont été réalisées dans le cadre du programme d'amélioration de l'habitat d'Alger lancé par le maire d'Alger à l'époque, afin de faire face à l'explosion démographique de la ville d'Alger. Il nomme alors Fernand Pouillon architecte en chef de l'office Hlm  de la ville pour construire rapidement deux cités pouvant accueillir plusieurs milliers de logements

La cité a été construite en 18 mois entre 1953 et 1955. Elle totalise 1 500 logements répartis dans des immeubles de différentes hauteurs.

Diar el Mahçoul est divisée en deux ensembles séparés par le boulevard Oulmane Khelifa

• la partie nord, face à la baie d'Alger, était appelée « confort normal » et était destinée à la population européenne autrefois  ;
• la partie sud, plus en retrait, était appelée « simple confort » et était destinée à la population arabe^..

Les logements de la cité « confort normal » possédaient une cuisine indépendante, une entrée, un patio et une salle de bain avec baignoire à sabot, avec toilettes et bidet. Alors que les logements de la cité « simple confort » étaient de taille plus réduite et ne possédaient qu'un patio sans vue, une cuisinette, des toilettes à la turque et un petit lavabo.

الديار ش Mahçoul تقع المدينة شمال مدينة شرم Madania على مرتفعات المدينة. جزء من المدينة يطل على حي الحامة تقع أدناه. بنيت المدينة على هضبة Susini .



في عام 1982، شيد نصب تذكاري على حافة المدينة و يهيمن على نطاق واسع.



مدينة ديار ش Mahçoul هي الثانية من ثلاث مدن بنيت بعد صعدة.

ونفذت هذه المدن في إطار برنامج لتحسين الموائل من الجزائر التي أطلقها رئيس بلدية الجزائر العاصمة في ذلك الوقت، لمواجهة الانفجار السكاني لمدينة الجزائر العاصمة. ثم عين رئيسا المهندس فرناند Pouillon يمكن لل مكتب تلقت البعثة الرفيعة المستوى من المدينة لبناء مدينتين بسرعة استيعاب عدة آلاف من المنازل



بنيت المدينة في 18 شهرا بين عامي 1953 و 1955 . فإنه يبلغ 1،500 وحدة سكنية في مبان بارتفاعات مختلفة .



وينقسم الديار ش Mahçoul في اثنين من شارع مجموعات Oulmane خليفة



الشمال، التي تواجه خليج الجزائر ، وكان يسمى "راحة طبيعية" وكان يقصد ل سكان أوروبا مرة واحدة ؛

الجنوب، إلى أبعد من ذلك ، وكان يسمى "راحة بسيطة " وكان يقصد للسكان العرب ..



كان السكن في المدينة " الراحة العادية " مطبخ و مدخل وفناء وحمام مع حوض الأحذية، مع مرحاض وبيديه . في حين أن المساكن في المدينة "راحة بسيطة " كانت أصغر ، وكان فناء مع أي رأي ، مطابخ ، المرحاض القرفصاء وحوض صغير .

Diar el Mahçoul the city is located north of the town of el Madania on the heights of the city. Part of the city overlooks the Hamma district located below. The city was built on the Susini plateau.



In 1982 , the Memorial was erected at the edge of the city and dominates massively.
