Ghardaia : la sainte et authentique

Dans la vallée du mzab, existe cette vilaya, resté authentique par son urbanisme, ses traditions particulières comme la facon dooe proceder la selpucture , un ou deux pierres suivant le sexe du décujus.

Les femmes voilées, ne laissant paraitre qu'un seul de leurs yeux, sont prioritaires dans la rue A partir du 9ème siècle.

Cette région très peu peuplé provient de la destruction de Tahert par les Kutamas en 909, est suivie par la fuite de population dans le désert.

Les réfugiés s'établissent à Sedrata près d’Ouargla. Puis, ils atteignent le Mzab. Au XI e siècle, ils battissent plusieurs villes dans la région : Ghardaïa, Melika, Beni Isguen, Bounoura et El Atteuf .

Deux autres villes plus récentes ont été fondées dont Berriane

La Vallée du Mzab qui englobe cinq ksours, constitue une civilisation sédentaire et urbaine qui a su conservé depuis le XI e siècle le même mode d'habitat eti les mêmes techniques de construction et fait partie du patrimoine mondial de l'humanité par l'Unesco .

On y trouve les ksours et les palmeraies de la vallée dont : Ghardaïa, Melika, Beni Isguen, Bounoura et El Atteuf . La wilaya abrite une zone humide : le lac Hassi El Gara à El Ménéa et deux stations des eaux thermales à Zelfana .

Les mosquées des citées de la vallée sont surmontées d’un minaret pyramidal dont celui de Ghardaïa qui mesure 22 m. La ville d’El Atteuf possède deux mosquées dont les minarets se dressent concurremment ce qui signifie deux villes réunies .

En dehors de la vallée, la wilaya abrite d'autres ksars notamment le ksar de Metlili et d'El Golea (la Citadelle), construit vers le IX e siècle et le X e siècle par les Berbères Zénètes .

Ghardaia : holy and authentic

There are ksours and palm groves of the valley including: Ghardaia, Melika , Beni Isguen , Bounoura and El Atteuf . The province is home to a wetland : Lake El Gara Hassi El Ménéa stations and two thermal waters Zelfana .



The mosques mentioned in the valley are surmounted by a pyramidal minaret including Ghardaia which measures 22 m. The city of El Atteuf has two mosques with minarets stand concurrently which means two cities combined .



Outside the valley, the province is home to other ksars including Ksar Metlili and El Golea ( Citadel ) , built around the ninth century and the tenth century by Zénètes Berbers.
