Bab El Oued « la porte de la Rivière »

Bab El Oued  « porte de la Rivière ») est une commune , mais aussi un quartier populaire de la ville historique , situé sur la façade maritime nord de la ville et où vivent 100 000 personnes. Célèbre par sa place des Trois-Horloges et par son marché Triolet, elle possède de nombreux ateliers et manufactures.

La commune de Bab El Oued est située au nord  d'Alger. Elle est délimitée au nord-est par le front de mer (boulevard

Mira), à l'ouest par la commune debologhine avec son fameux stade  et la colline de Bainem, au sud-ouest par la commune de  Oued Koricheet à l'est par la Casbah

La porte de Bab el-Oued était l’une des portes de la ville d’Alger, ouvrant sur M'kacel qui s'écoule depuis les hauteurs de Bouzareah

En octobre 1988, Bab El Oued fut à nouveau le théâtre d'événements meurtriers suite à des émeutes qui enflamment le quartier et se généralisent dans le pays, les forces de l'ordre ouvrent le feu, faisant plusieurs dizaines de victimes, souvent très jeunes.

Le 10 novembre 2011, à la suite de pluies diluviennes des torrents de boue engloutissent de nombreuses habitations ainsi que la vaste place du marché Triolet, faisant plus de 700 victimes et laissant un quartier ravagé en à peine trois heures.

Mais l'essentiel n'est pas là mais dans l'avenir de ce quartier populaire qui ne manque pas de charme et d'atouts, et sa proximité du centre ville d'Alger est un élément supplémentaire pour le découvrir. De nos jours ce quartier est en pleine mutation associatif et citoyen. Notament dans le domaine culturel par l'apport d'une jeunesse trés active est créatrice et contiente de la potentialité de Bab El Oueb.

La proximité avec la cote, fait ce quartier ,aussi un atout majeur pour y résider.  iL suffit d'observer le prix de l'immobilier por s'en persuader. Au niveau cinématographique, un film port son nom .

كان باب الواد واحد من أبواب مدينة الجزائر العاصمة ، على فتح M'kacel المتدفقة من أعالي بوزريعة



في أكتوبر عام 1988، وكان باب الواد مرة أخرى مسرحا ل أحداث الشغب القاتلة التالية التي من شأنها تأجيج المنطقة و على نطاق واسع في البلاد، فتحت قوات الأمن النار مما أسفر عن مقتل عدة عشرات من الضحايا ، وغالبا الصغار جدا .



10 نوفمبر 2011 ، في أعقاب الأمطار الغزيرة انهيارات طينية تبتلع العديد من المنازل و التريوليت قصيدة ثمانية الأبيات مكان سوق واسعة ، مما أسفر عن مقتل أكثر من 700 شخص و ترك الحي الذي دمرته في ثلاث ساعات فقط .



ولكن المفتاح ليس هناك، ولكن في المستقبل لهذه المنطقة الشعبية التي لا تفتقر سحر و المزايا، و قربها من وسط مدينة الجزائر العاصمة هو عنصرا إضافيا لمعرفة ذلك. اليوم حي مليء الجمعيات و طفرة المواطن . Notament في المجال الثقافي من خلال توفير الشباب نشطة جدا الإبداعية و contiente امكانيات باب Oueb .
