Exposition poignante sur gaza à Paris
m

myalgerianpost could not ignore an exhibition in Paris at the Arab World Institute.
This exhibition, “The Saved Treasures of Gaza,” recounts 5,000 years of Gaza's history.
Many people are unaware that the region is home to numerous French and Palestinian archaeological sites that reveal Gaza's exceptional heritage.
We learn a great deal about Gaza's strategic importance throughout history.
The MAH in Geneva protects more than 529 works belonging to the Palestinian Authority.
This Bronze Age exhibition features amphorae, steles, statues, and lamps.
The IMA exhibition features only 139 masterpieces, including the magnificent mosaic of Abu Baraqeh.
The value of this exhibition becomes clear when we consider the alarming findings of UNESCO:
Disasters affecting cultural sites in Gaza: 12 religious sites, 61 buildings of historical and/or artistic interest, 7 archaeological sites, 6 monuments, 3 storage facilities for movable cultural property, and 1 museum.
Thank you to the Palestinian authorities and the Arab World Institute for bearing witness to humanity of this universal heritage and 5,000 years of history.
